Review:
My favorite movie of all time. Nasty piece of work it was Coppola sees the documentary Heart of darkness make it even more convincing. At that point, Coppola was the king of Hollywood after making godmother and GodfatherII and developed the ego necessary to even dare try to film as Apocalypse. Went through the whole arrogance of the Philippines due to the partial script he knows what he will do when he got there. Like Captain Willard thought he would know what to do when he got to the metal Kurtzs Col. And like Willard did not know what he will do when he got there. This is such a masterpiece of American cinema, beautifully photographed and the river metaphor is so perfect for the story and background.
