From the opening scene, Marty set a dark and creepy premise. Almost the entire film story, such as the Teddy who is desperately trying to find the truth seeking. Teddy appears as a terrified man, a man of war and violence, as well as in several flashbacks. It will be increasingly important as the story progresses. We follow Teddy on his way through all the dark corridors and dangerous confrontation. Slowly we have pieces of the puzzle, but the audience even realize it. For us, as Teddy, is blind. For the moment at least. It is for this reason that the exciting conclusion leaves many by surprise. But you see, that where this thriller is something more. We as the audience sat in Teddys shoes, and feel all the things they feel. It is a complete assault on the senses, and it works great. It's a movie, you have to look carefully. This is another thing that apart, this is a horror movie that makes you really think. In this day and age, I'm not surprised some people do terribly esp. their minds are turning to mush these new gore-filled horror. Scorseses ultimate goal is to wake you up. And believe me, you probably wont like it. It's also a film that I would recommend seeing a second time. In fact, it's even better the second time. All the pieces of the puzzle that did not catch the first time, you will see the second. You see, the first time that we as viewers in the shoes Teddy. The second? Well, not too far, let's say you're sitting in someone elses shoes completely during the second viewing. Relax Island. The film, which will call into question your own sanity.
